In the Netherlands everybody thought he was a clown in his first 6 months.. after that he was settled and he became the best. The same thing is happening in England. At the end of the season there's no more discussion about Gomes.

Yes, you are correct. He was superb yesterday so perhaps he is 'turning the corner' as we say here in the UK. To be fair, all jokes aside, he is an excellent shot stopper and does pull off some good saves. But he can't deal with crosses and his decision making is very poor. He also seems awkward with the ball at his feet. I still think that Spurs will replace him next season.

Before the passback rule came in I would agree with you Benderwel. But it's a different matter now. Keeper's are encouraged to start off moves with the ball at their feet and receive the ball under pressure, so need to be competent.
