Nice you always come back when Gomes makes a mistake. I guess he stops more 'unstoppable' shots then he lets through the easy ones.

Gomes was fantastic in The Netherlands a few years ago. Without a doubt the best goalkeeper of the Eredivisie at that time. But since his move to England he has made many mistakes. Too many. It can't just be bad form or bad luck. No, he lacks quality. You have to conclude that he was too good for the Eredivsie, but he just isn't good enough for the highest level (top Premier League and Champions League). I would look for a new goalkeeper for next season if I were Harry Redknapp. Maybe Spurs are interested in trading Gomes for Brian Vandenbussche or Kenny Steppe
